This is a 1987 yamaha ysr50 with a yz80 top end. This is a project bike. Let me repeat: this is a project bike. Ok, we've got that out of the way. I just don't want anybody to show up and be caught off-guard because this is, in fact, a project bike. Here's the scoop: i love this little guy. We call him the atomic frog. He's been drag raced, used for taco bell runs, and generally been amusing me since 2001. I haven't ridden him since 2006. I feel terrible saying it, but that's just the fact. He's been neglected and sitting in a garage and i've been an awful mom but it's time for him to find a new home where he can be enjoyed and appreciated again. When i bought this bike i received a stack of paperwork, including a title which i just assumed was for this bike but never actually compared vins. Turns out it was for a different bike i'd bought from the same guy at the same time. What i do have is a stack of paperwork on the bike (vin confirmed this time) including a vehicle history report, application for lost title, and power of attorney from the previous owner in colorado. I never filed for the lost title in california because i didn't want to pay endless non-op fees for a bike i wasn't actively working to make street legal. I'll provide all the colorado paperwork along with a california dmv statement of facts for the sale. Let's discuss the frog himself. As i mentioned, he's hasn't been run for about 12 years. He was running when he was parked so he's going to minimally require a carb clean and a serious service. He's got surface rust (we used to live on the coast). By this i mean he came to me with a weird conglomo of modified fiberglassed body work with assorted cracks and whatnot. He's not exactly a looker in that department. I don't recall ever having a key, but that didn't keep it from running. All lights & signals, with the exception of the headlight, had been removed before i bought him. It would take some work to get back into street legal condition, especially in california. There is no kickstarter; it was missing when i got him and i always just push started him. In place of a chain guard, he has part of an old iowa license plate that we swiped from my buddy bob. He needed a chain guard in order to race him and we figured bob wouldn't mind contributing to the cause. So that's about where we're at. If i get a bidder, i got a winner. 6349 Miles✔ Chain Transmission
