Car is in fair to good condition overall. The paint is good and presentable. The top has some repaired holes and the fabric is weakening in this original top. Top is rain tight and usable. The mechanism works well having recently been repaired. Interior is fair to good. Seat bottoms have a split in the seam although not this or any other issue prevents the car from being driven. The car has an aftermarket am/fm/cd radio. All lights and electrics work other than a sporadic cruise control. The drive train works fine. The engine uses no oil and has full power. Clutch and timing and balancing belt and water pump changed around 70k miles. Many other items changed over the years. Clear 3m protective film has been applied before and after rear wheels and as door edge. These could be removed. This model is larger than the boxter which followed the 968. Therefore there is considerable usable space behind the seats for small packages and groceries. There had been a cupboard in the back seat area but it has been removed creating even more space there. The trunk also is usable. It can hold two small suitcases plus loose items or two full size golf bags with clubs and shoes. The two panels between the trunk and the passenger compartment can be folded down for longer items. The car carries an inflatable spare with an after-market inflator and original tool kit. There is a blue tonneau cover. The motor is a large 4 cylinder delivering around 235 horsepower. Some think that the 968 has the best sounding motor and (stainless steel) exhaust of any porsche. Regardless this is a fun car to drive. With the transmission in the rear and motor in the front the 968 has superior weight distribution and oversteer is not an issue compared to the rear engine modelsvehicle is located in santa fe nm. This 1995 porsche 968 coupe has the most desirable six-speed transmission, along with less than 34,000 carefuloriginal miles. There is a porsche plaque on the passenger dash designating this to be a "limited edition coupe,120/258". As one of the last 968s made, this is an especially collectible example. The designation provides for afew extras, including an upgraded stereo, metallic black paint, limited slip and gray leather. It is an original, unaltered (except for the radio) example of an exceptionally strong perfoming sportscar. This has been my 18th porsche of various types. Zero to sixty is under six seconds along with an old school eu exhaust rumble. 50/50 weight distribution andlimited slip differential produces actually better handling than the 911 (and i love 911s too). The condition of this car is impeccable. Clean carfax with no accident history. I've owned her for five orsix years and bought her from the past president of the polish porsche club whom lived in ca. Prior to ca the carresided in new mexico. I think driven by a physician whom lived on a gravel driveway. The car is in showcondition with only very minor defects, namely stone chip repairs and a small cut in the seat (photo shows). Onechip is about the size of a dime and poorly repaired. It was covered up by a bra that i will send with the car butdidn't use myself. The seat cut is about an inch long, is superficial, and has not grown in five years. Everything else concerning the car condition and maintenance status is excellent. Including the recent timing beltand water pump service. She is an eye catcher and could easily be shown as is. It was recently chosen for thecover of the regional porsche club magazine. The blaupunkt toronto cd that is installed will come with theoriginal cassette. Newer michelin pilot sports over very, very nice cup wheels that are accurate and original. Fully serviced and everything works like new. There are no disappointments here. With care, it should be a pleasing investment over time with a favorable return. I have obsessiverecords for my ownership, and some from before.
