it is a late 1972 (Oct) productionmaking it an actual 1973. Very nice original 1973 Datsun 240z Ready forrestoration or daily driver with a little tuning. I acquired this z about 5years ago from the central California valley. It had been sitting for 6 years. After sitting in my garage for the past 5 years I finally started tinkering withit. New gas, changed the oil, adjusted valves, new starter, ignition switch,clutch master and slave cylinder. Started right up drove it around the block,transmission seemed fine as are brakes but it will need some carburetor work andfine tuning to be road worthy, and new tires etc. They hold air but are 10 years old. Compression check ranged from 150 to 160 on all cylinders It is anumbers matching engine. It has had a white repaint at some time and it is anoriginal white car. Upholstery is clean but not original. All body panels andglass appear to be original and firewall vin matches strut tower and dash vinand as far as I can tell it has never been in an accident and no bondo present. Things that need attention are; Carbs, they appear to be the original smogequipped flat top hitachis which I heard are pretty hard to tune properly so Ihaven't attempted yet. Headlights don't work (not sure why, fuses areok) Rust in rear quarter panels in front of rear wheels and rear hatch panel ( iwill include new patch panels as in pictures) Also a little surface rust and alittle rust in floorboards and A pillars as shown in pics. It's a 4 speed, it has new carburetor clutch muffler headers are all new the headers are ceramic it has new weatherstrip and rubber, it's a clean title new aluminum and hose from the radiator is all new has new air pump emission hose set.

Selling my 1973 datsun 5101973 datsun 510red paint code 905automatic187,000 miles clean title in hand, in my namepurchased from original ownerlocal bay area, ca caroriginal blue ca plateszero rust. Garaged it's entire life. Body has dents and scrapes. Passenger front fender is a replacement. Rear valence is torn. Tail light panel has a dent. Outside of the pax front fender. Car has all original paint. Interior is original. Originally dealer equipped with am radio. That unit was replaced in the 80's with the current sanyo unit. Interior still smells like 70's era leather. Not the original motor. Original motor replaced in 1986 at 147,539 miles weber carb was installed at some point in it's history. Tucks nicely under the factory air box. Car was then put into storage at 186,000 miles in 1990. I removed from storage in august 2016original dealer window sticker includedowner's manualwarranty service booklet several original brochuresmaintenance records from newsmog inspection records from early '90'sinvested $3k in recent parts and labor to get it roadworthy after sitting for 25+years. Replaced all heater hoses and clampsreplaced all fuel hoses and clampsreplace all vacuum hosesfuel tank was treated and sealednew old stock fuel sender unit and lock platenew brake master cylinderflush and bled brake systemreplace waterpumpradiator was still new, it was removed and cleanednew radiator hosesnew thermostat and gasketnew drive beltflushed rear diff oilnew transmission oil pan gasket and filterflush and fill transmission fluidreplace distributor cap, rotornew spark plugs, wiresnew condenser and pointsnew ignition coil & new ignition coil resistornew batterytires will need to be replaced. Tread is good, but they have a flat spot around 50mph from long term storage. Very fun and reliable to drive. I can cruise comfortably at ~65 mph on the highway. I'm asking $12,000 or best reasonable offer. I can email many more, including under carriage pictures.
