Seller's comments and description: 1965 buick riviera showing 76,248 miles (but unable to confirm so listed as 176,248) offered by gas monkey garage with no reserve . The design that became the first riviera was created as a cadillac model, the xp-715. He later said that "knife-edged" styling was what he wanted for the new model, but with a lower profile and a bit of ferrari thrown in for performance. The design itself was penned by stylist ned nickels. The exterior is in good condition with a finish that is still glossy but showing its age with evidence of some paint work,nicks, scratches and minor corrosion behind the rear wheel openings (see all pics).

Car itself is a rare optioned car ( Have Original build sheet & booklets ) but a lot of money into drive train could be super sleeper if change out mufflers ( pretty loud now ) . Phoenix transmission custom built 700 R with ada. Engine is a fully rebuild 65 401 built high end , heavy cam , 2x4 Eelco Intake with two Edelbrock 600 cfm carbs with roller rockers , polished & ported heads , polished finned valve covers & valley pan , air cleaner , and correct 65 GS exhaust manifolds ( Had long tube headers but I removed ) ETC
